Besan Chilla (Gram Flour Pancake)

  1. In a bowl, add besan and whey protein and gradually add water to make a smooth, lump-free batter of pouring consistency.
  2. Add onion, green chilli, ginger, coriander, turmeric, red chilli powder, cumin seeds and salt. Mix well.
  3. Heat a non-stick pan and lightly grease with oil.
  4. Pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan and spread gently into a thin circle.
  5. Drizzle a little oil around the edges and cook on medium heat until golden at the bottom.
  6. Flip and cook the other side until cooked through.
  7. Repeat with remaining batter and serve hot with chutney or yogurt.
