Moong Dal Chilla (High Protein Indian Pancake)

  1. Rinse the moong dal 3–4 times and soak in enough water for 3–4 hours or overnight. Drain and grind with ¼ cup water to a smooth batter.
  2. Add turmeric, cumin powder, Whey protein, salt and mix. Add coriander leaves, onions, ginger and green chilies and mix well. Rest the batter for 15–20 minutes.
  3. Heat a pan and spread a little oil. Pour a ladleful of batter in the centre and spread into a circle.
  4. Cook on medium heat until the base becomes golden, drizzle a little oil, flip and cook the other side until crisp. 5. Repeat with remaining batter and serve hot with chutney or sauce.
